Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden significant achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
