I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
