Thomas Tuchel has chosen to retain the identical England squad that triumphed against their previous opponents and produced a stellar performance in Serbia last month, leaving no room for Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in his group for the upcoming exhibition match against Wales and the World Cup qualifier in Latvia.

Although Phil Foden pushing for a recall after rediscovering his form at his club, and Jude Bellingham having returned for his Spanish club following a surgical procedure, the head coach has opted not to including two of the country's most prominent attacking talents. The young midfielder has started just a single time for his club since his comeback.

The England boss has made room for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his injured Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke. The experienced attacker has not been handed a return to the squad.

Tuchel highlighted the vibrancy in the previous selection and appears determined to maintaining the vibe. Tino Livramento, who started at left-back in the convincing victory in Serbia, has been ruled out due to a knock. The manager has not called up a direct replacement for the Newcastle player but has included the Manchester City defender, who had to pull out last month. He has discussed the Manchester City defender's significance for England and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park.

There is no place for Adam Wharton, who was selected last month but pulled out injured and was replaced by the Milan player.

Tuchel said: “A mere three weeks after the previous gathering and the last win, the last performance, so the question was why not bring the same group in because they established a benchmark. Now it is about building routines out of it. We have regrettably two injuries at the moment with Tino and Noni and we welcome of course Bukayo Saka in to replace Noni. The defender was a last-minute addition previously; he will remain with the squad.”
